The Art of the Cabochon with John Heusler G.G.

Lapidary artist John F. Heusler G. G. is coming back to the studio! Whether you’re new to lapidary or looking to refine your skills, this hands-on class offers a perfect blend of foundational techniques and advanced methods. Over the course of two days, you’ll explore techniques from traditional cabochon shapes to concave cutting and polishing, while experimenting with a variety of materials. And with a dedicated lapidary machine for every participant - no waiting! - you’ll have ample time to practice and perfect your skills. Returning students can tackle more challenging shapes and techniques with John’s expert guidance. 

Your workshop and materials kit fees will cover absolutely everything you need to participate in class, including rough slabs, polishing materials, and the use of all the equipment needed to successfully create your own cabochons. This workshop is for all levels, so it's perfect for everyone regardless of prior experience. Please note: If you have rough you'd like to cut, you're welcome to bring it but we will not be set up for slabbing, so any rough you bring must be pre-slabbed.
